ITS ALL OVER BUT THE SHOUT !
By Rev. Dr. Knox Herndon I really dont know where that phrase came from, but I think I know what it means. To me it means that all the back breaking work, perspiration and perseverance has been done, and that the Victory YAHOO is just about to be delivered. So it is with HIS HOUSE COMMUNITY CHURCH, Senoia, Georgia. If you havent been down there lately, you must come by and see our new church building. If you come soon, you will see our Church Alive In The Double Wide on 85 sitting out at the edge of our parking lot which we proudly used temporarily while we were constructing our building. In my opinion, one has to have their theology straight to proudly meet week after week, year after year in a doublewide trailer. Many people would not let their pride allow them to do this. Just think of those who did meet in the doublewide trailer and joyously invited people to our church on a weekly basis. These are my kind of Christians who know it is all about the Spirit of the Living God that counts and NOTHING ELSE. In these settings and ministries one has to get up on a daily basis, and deny oneself and pick up their cross daily and follow Christ. Sound familiar? Those who have persevered through the five moves in seven and a half years, and moving chairs and churches twice a day, every Sunday, will appreciate what is being said here. I am writing this to thank all the saints who fought the fought and kept the faith thus far. They, and they alone, will be able to say remember all the good old days and the moves and all the moving? I know that God in Heaven has special blessings for those who persevere in His work through these days. If there are those who are in the middle of this moving maze, hang in there. There is light at the end of the tunnel. It is not a train, it is the light of Christ and Him alone! We only have to finish laying our carpet, bring in the stained glass windows, put in the pews and then get it all inspected. Please come by and say a prayer for us and for the perseverance of the Saints. To God be the Glory, Great things He has done. Be sure to do your part in the relief effort of the tsunami victims. Do it through your church. We are a Southern Baptist Church and our Denomination, as I am sure others do also, have a long standing Disaster Relief Program. Funds can be channeled to this relief effort at the Georgia Baptist Convention 770-455-0404. OUR NEW CHURCH IS 95% FININSHED. COME SEE!!
