Chiefettes take first place in Roswell meet

The McIntosh High School Chiefettes were the top winners at the Roswell City Dance Competition, held last month at Roswell High School. The Chiefettes competed in two categories, pom and kick, placing first in both events. The squad also was honored with the Best Choreography Award and received the competition’s highest honor for top overall score.

 The Roswell competition followed a successful showing in November at Central Gwinnett High School where the team received two superior ratings and the coveted Coaches’ Award. The Chiefettes are preparing for competition in Athens later this month and for the state championships in February where they hope to win their third consecutive state title. If successful, they will have been state champions for five of the past six years.   

The team is coached by McIntosh teacher Erin Bozard. The 2004-2005 Officers are Captain Morgan Wolfe, Co-Captain Liz Ocheltree and Lieutenant Laurel Edge.
