A number of local soccer players will be heading to Baltimore, Maryland this weekend for the All-American luncheon at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America National Convention.
Among them are McIntoshs Jessica Lenze, who is being named NSCAA High School State Player of the Year and is also an NSCAA High School All American and a NSCAA High School Scholar All American, along with teammates Arlen Whittle and Katie Schulz and Christie McDonald (Newnan). Schulz is a Parade All-American and has been invited to the ODP National Camp in Carson City, Calif. along with Lenze, Kelley OHara (Starrs Mill), McDonald and Melissa Clarke. OHara is a member of the U-17 National Team and Lenze has advanced to the Region III team from the Region III pool.
OHara, Clarke and McDonald have also been named as NSCAA Youth All-Americans.
Lenze had 42 goals and 10 assists for McIntosh last year, while McDonald had 27 goals and five assists, OHara had 18 goals and 18 assists and Schulz had 11 goals and seven assists.
