Zeier to attend builder meetingThe Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgias January meeting will have a Football Party theme with special guest Eric Zeier. The meeting, scheduled Thursday, Jan. 20, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., will be held at the Wyndham Peachtree Hotel and Conference Center in Peachtree City. Sponsors will include HomeBanc Mortgage and Kitchens Etc. Zeier, who was a record-setting quarterback for the University from 1991 through 1994, was drafted by the Cleveland Browns (now the Baltimore Ravens) in 1995, was later traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and ended his career in 2001 with the Atlanta Falcons. He now serves as vice president and area manager for HomeBancs Southern Crescent and Atlanta area operations. Attendees at the event are encouraged to come to the party wearing their favorite teams colors or creative fan outfits. The association member showing the most spirit will win a prize. Reservations for the meeting should be made by contacting the association office before Monday, Jan. 17. The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia serves builders in Fayette, Coweta, Spalding, Meriwether, Heard, Pike, Upson, Lamar, Butts and Jasper counties.
