Fayette Co. Fire and Emergency Services

Grass fire: At 4:17 a.m. Jan. 6, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a grass fire at 110 Sandy Lake Circle.

Cooking fire: At 8:06 p.m. Jan. 9, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a cooking fire at 145 Camelot Drive. The fire was contained to the container. From Jan. 6 to Jan. 10, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel received 64 calls for help.

Fayetteville Fire Dept.

Gas leak: At 3:57 p.m. Jan. 7, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a gas leak at 312 N. Glynn St.

Fire alarm: At 7:03 a.m. Jan. 8, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 275 Sharon Drive. From Jan. 4 to Jan. 9, the Fayetteville Fire Department received 24 calls for help.

Peachtree City Fire/Rescue

Accident: At 7:16 p.m. Jan. 4, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel responded to a vehicle accident at 450 S. Peachtree Parkway. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries and transported the injured to the hospital.

Dryer fire: At 7:51 p.m. Jan. 4, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel responded to a fire alarm at 709 Cove Road. Firefighters maneuvered through the smoke-filled home and found the source of the problem. A clothes dryer had ignited. Firefighters contained the fire to the dryer in the laundry room. The house sustained minimum damage and the firefighters ventilated the home for smoke.

Structure fire: At 1:55 p.m. Jan. 8, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel responded to a structure fire at 101 City Circle. A small fire broke out in an appliance at the business and an employee extinguished it.

Accident: At 6:05 p.m. Jan. 8, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel responded to a vehicle accident at Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked the occupants for injuries and transported five patients to the hospital.

Brush fire: At 8:06 p.m. Jan. 8, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel responded to a brush fire at 2715 Ga. Highway 54 West. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Structure fire: At 11:29 p.m. Jan. 8, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel responded to a structure fire at 3006 Merrick Drive. Firefighters arrived and snuffed out the fire that was caused by burning food that was left too long on the stove. Between Jan. 3 and Jan. 9, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel received 60 calls for help.
