911 Center to host open house Jan. 20

The Fayette County 911 Communications Center will host an open house Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. at the 911 Center.

The purpose of the tour is to reach out to the hearing and speech impaired citizens, exhibit the new TDD machines that are set up at every station at the 911 center and educate citizens about the equipment so that they feel comfortable about calling the center when they need emergency assistance.

The center is located at 110 Volunteer Way, Fayetteville, located off McDonough Road, next to the Fayette County Water System.

For more information, call Kyle Turner at 770-461-4357 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The 911 center accepts both hearing and TDD calls at this number.
