Arson fireBy LEE WILLIAMS A Fayette County sheriffs deputy was the first to arrive at 405 Oak Hill Drive, located 3/4 of a mile from the Clayton County line, to help. A Clayton County ambulance was returning to Clayton County after transporting a patient to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman Capt. Pete Nelms said. They were at the intersection at Ga. Highway 85 and Oak Hill Drive. They saw the flames and went down there and assisted the deputy with the victim. Four minutes after receiving a call for help at 11:48 p.m., firefighters arrived to extinguish the blaze, Nelms added. The Clayton County ambulance transported her to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Nelms said. There is an investigation ongoing to determine the cause of the fire. The fire gutted the home owned by Teresa Maselli. The department has teamed up with the Fayette County Sheriffs Department and they are following up on several leads in the case.
