Montessori school is moving up

The Fayette Montessori School held a ribbon cutting recently for their newest facility which houses the learning center for ages 6 - 12.

The free form environment focuses on practical, visual activities that give children a solid, basic understanding of math concepts, geographic realities, language usage and musical notation to name a few. Using imagination as a tool, the young minds are free to explore the ways in which their world behaves. The newly outfitted building includes a reading room and a full kitchen.

Pastor Justin Kollmeyer of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fayetteville was on hand to lead the students currently attending the school in a “repeat’ prayer before school director, Margaret Sisson cut the red sash stretched across the doorway. No sooner had the ribbon fallen did the curious children pile in for a look around. The teaching staff and parents joined in the excitement as they were shown the many new learning tools and toys which will help to stretch young minds and imaginations.

Classes start August 16. The Montessori School of Fayetteville can be reached at 770-460-6790. Visit their website at www.fayettemontessori.com for a closer look at what they have to offer.
