Rebuttal seems to miss the points

I read with interest the article by Mr. Hoffman regarding Dr. Moffatt’s column. I must admit however, I was “confused” by his remarks.

In no way did it reflect anything that Dr. Moffatt stated in his article. I enjoy reading counterpoints to views expressed in the media. Even when I don’t agree with what is said, it is an avenue to increase dialogue on important issues.

For a counterpoint to be taken seriously, however, it can’t be laden with inaccurate references to the original article.

Sadly, this seems to be a pattern with Mr. Hoffman. Nothing he said in his editorial reflected what Dr. Moffatt stated in his article.

I will not waste my time debating his letter, since it is based on erroneous conclusions and assumptions.
