Views on Iraq war, American responsibility reflect left-wing propaganda

Ms. Eska-Thedra’s reply to my previous letter to the editor must have hit a nerve. One thing that I know is that sarcasm in writing has to be extensively explained or just use an emoticon (;-)); that will suffice.

I have to say that those who know me will tell Ms. Eska-Thedra that I am NOT “high horsed,” and believe me I don’t have to watch “Seinfeld” to have a sense of humor. Being self-employed for 38 years does not allow a person to succeed by not having a sense of humor.

By Ms. Eska-Thedra’s letter I see that her news source she quotes is CNN and that tells me why she is all upset about Abu Ghraib. CNN and the great majority of the mainstream media including newspapers and magazines have plastered the public with images of what a few people (7 out of 138,000) did while ignoring the other killings perpetrated by the Islamic terrorists.

Has Ms. Eska-Thedra seen the video of ambulances of the UNRA and Red Crescent being used to carry weapons and terrorists while protected by the equivalent of the Red Cross logo? May I suggest she try Fox for a while; at least they do not present a one sided version.

As far as reporters getting killed, they know the risk they take when they become war reporters; so do contractors. If our troops were there those terrorists would not live very long.

Now we’ve had the attack in Saudi Arabia, who were the terrorists looking for? Westerners and Americans! Does that send the message that we are the targets? Do we understand that an ocean or oceans will not make us safe? Oceans did not prevent 9-11.

As far as Guantanamo, leave that alone because I know more about that one than many people do. I remember the quote of some of the prisoners released about having it better than at home in Guantanamo. One of the prisoners released from Abu Ghraib protested he could not go home after the pictures, that he was disgraced, so when asked where would he wanted to go, he blurted, The U.S.!

The problem is that most of the media is against Bush, and together with most Democrats their hatred of a president that is doing what he said he would do burns in them 24-7.

That is the reason why we don’t get stories like the one of the Iraqi businessmen who had their right hands chopped off by Saddam, and with the help of Continental Airlines, generous donations of many American people, doctors, and prosthetics manufacturers, had their artificial hands for free! Did CNN cover the meeting of these businessmen with Bush?

As I write this Ronald Reagan is being laid to rest. The man that defeated the USSR without firing a shot, and did away with the Cold War, otherwise known as WWIII, is being trashed by the same people that hate George Bush with a passion. And finally today the Islamic terrorists declared that they will attack Western and American airlines. Is that also the fault of the U.S.?
