Negative ad in judge race upsets PTC voter

[To superior court judge candidate John] Mrosek: I am not a big advocate of politics nor am I a personal friend of your opponent.

I once served on a jury in 1999 for a case of child molestation and incest in which Judge [Johnnie] Caldwell presided. We, the jury, found the defendant guilty and Judge Caldwell sentenced him to life plus 90 years. I don’t consider THAT soft on sex crimes like you alluded in your mailing.

To attack your opponent in the way you did certainly made me angry because many unsuspecting and unknowledgeable recipients of your political ”crap” might actually classify Judge Caldwell to be a liberal and soft judge and I know that this is not the case. Shame on you Mr. Mrosek.

I will also tell you is that I am copying this email to the editor of The Citizen newspaper. He will decide whether or not to publish it in the paper, but I only felt that it was fair to challenge your political mailing for those who might not know you and your opponent. For you to stoop so low to send the impression to the voters that Caldwell is soft on sex crimes is abhorring and disgusting.

If you end up losing this race, I hope you can reflect back on this low form of politicking and see that it did not pay off. If you end up winning, I will forever have my doubts of your honesty on the bench. May the constituents be wary.
