Local Red Hat Society on the move

The A(mazing) G(olden) Sassy Red Hatters, a Chapter of the Red Hat Society, had their “CRAZIATION” (or disorganization) and crowning of the Queen and Vice Queen May 19. These ladies are saying no to getting older and having a fun time doing it. If you see them out inÊfull regalia of purpleÊ clothes and red hats with boas flying, go over and have a laugh with them.

This chapter is one of 20,000 that now make up the Red Hat Society Nationally of Women that are over the age of 50 in pursuit of fun and frivolity. The Red Hat Society began as a result of a few women deciding to greet middle age with verve, humor, and élan more than three years ago. Members believe silliness is the comedy relief of life, and since we are all in it together, we might as well join red-gloved hands and go out for the gusto together. Underneath the frivolity, we share a bond of affection, forged by common life experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for wherever life takes us next.

The A(mazing) G(olden)ÊSassy Red Hatters endorse the concepts of positive outlooks toward aging, fun, frivolity, and fellowship while enjoying the network of supportive friends who share in life experiences and the spirit of sisterhood.
