Gift basket class coming up

Are you looking for an enjoyable way to bring in some extra income? The gift basket business is a billion-dollar industry, and, if you learn your craft, you can capitalize on this market. The Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department is currently taking registrations for “Gift Basket Creations as a Hobby or Home-business.” As a hobby, making gift baskets gives you a creative outlet while making custom gifts for friends and family. Participants will build their own candy bouquet (supplies included) to take home.

Also during the sessions there will be gift basket items that the students can purchase at a minimal price. The two sessions are Saturday, June 19 and July 17 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. The cost is $50 per session at the Activities House.

For more information, call 770-461-9714 or visit the Activities House at the corner of Old Senoia Road and Redwine Road. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. The entire Summer Program brochure is available online at www.fayettecountyga.gov.
