Chess players sought to face expert in PTC

Chess grandmaster Martha Fierro will play 30 people simultaneously in a special exhibition Saturday, June 5, at 7 p.m. at Books-a-Million at The Avenue in Peachtree City.

The 30 competitors will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis upon payment of a $20 entry fee. Participants are asked to bring their boards and pieces.

Fierro is currently ranked eighth on the U.S. Chess Federation’s women’s list and is a five-time Pan-American Women’s Champion. She also was a silver medalist in the Chess Olympiad in Yerevan, Armenia.
