Foreign language excellence at Fayette County schoolsBooth Middle School leads the way, as nine of its 8th graders who take Spanish 1 participated in the 2004 Spanish Composition Contest. This is the first time in the history of this competition that 8th graders participated. The contest is sponsored by the American Association of teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, Georgia Chapter. Over five hundred students entered the contest from twenty-three public and private schools in Georgia. Four of Booth Middle School students placed in the excellent category and five in the notable category. |
