Granite Transformations now open in Fayetteville

The Granite Transformations showroom in Fayetteville has several displays exhibiting the versatility of “Rock Solid Granit.”

The customer can choose among many popular colors and can also get an idea of how the product is installed in their home. Granite Transformations fabrication facility is located in the same building and potential customers are welcome to take a tour when they visit.

Granite Transformations is Italian granite combined with a specially formulated polymer that allows it to never have to be sealed. It is stain-resistant, scratch-resistant and heat-resistant and because it is installed directly over your existing counter, there is no demolition or mess to deal with. The granite slabs are very versatile and durable and this allows the crews to make a customers kitchen look brand new in just a couple of days.

General manager Rusty Brown concedes that slab granite is a favorite among homeowners at this point but says that “Rock Solid Granit” has an edge over slab granite.

“One of the biggest appeals of Granite Transformations is that there is no need for demolition,” he said. “Besides being messy, tearing out countertops is a process that can create more problems and is also very time consuming, sometimes leaving an owner without kitchen counters for weeks. Because ‘Rock Solid Granit’ goes right over the old surface, the savings in time and money can be significant.”

The versatility of the product also allows the customer the opportunity to extend their counters, such as in the case of a center island where more counter space is needed. Granite Transformations also gives free estimates without any obligation and gives a ten—year warranty on all installations.

The company’s primary business is doing a makeover for old outdated kitchen counters. The product is also excellent for bathroom counters, fireplaces and to give an elegant look to shower areas. “Rock Solid Granit” is also very adaptable for commercial applications in business offices, medical offices, auto dealerships and even elevators.

Tina Chastain and her husband Dale of Chastain Roofing in Tyrone were so excited about their new granite counters that they added more granite to their kitchen during the installation. Tina said that being in the home improvement industry, they appreciate a job that is well done and in a timely manner. They say that is exactly what they got when they had their new kitchen counters installed.

We are also excited about the number of referrals that we have received from friends of customers that have installed our granite in their homes.

The people at Granite Transformations are very excited about providing their friends and neighbors in Fayette County with a product that is beautiful and durable and actually adds value to their most important asset: their home.

The company began with a trio of friends who were always discussing putting a business together. Granite Transformations was the perfect answer. After years of discussing what they would like to do, Bob Every, Dennis Shell and Rusty Brown think they have hit on a rock-solid plan.

The men, along with their incredibly talented wives, researched the product and made several trips to California to study the concept. As they put their business plan together during the summer of 2003, they became excited about the prospect of running a company that not only had a great potential to be successful but also could provide a valuable service to their customer’s homes in Fayette County.

Granite Transformations, Inc., is a worldwide company with locations in Canada, Europe and Australia, where the company originated. The company launched its U.S. operations in 2002 and now, just over two years later, there are showrooms all across the country, including California, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Utah, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Wisconsin, Washington and Michigan.

Because all three of the partners in Granite Transformations of Atlanta are from Fayette County, it was natural for them to begin operations in this area.

The showroom at 116A North 85 Parkway is just across the street from Gym South and next door to the Fayette Bowling Center.

“We are online to expand throughout Atlanta in the near future with showrooms scheduled for Cobb and Gwinett County,” said Bob Every, the brains behind the operation. “Our concern was to give our customers in this area the first opportunity in Atlanta on obtaining this product for their home.”

Dennis Shell another member of the team is a native Fayette County resident and he adds how excited he is with the product that his company has to offer. “I have seen Fayetteville grow from a small rural community to a bustling modern town and I am happy to be able to provide a service the gives added value and a beautiful look to my neighbors’ homes.”

As in all good businesses, there must be a great supporting cast and the men involved know that they would be in big trouble without the help of their innovative wives. Rusty’s wife Karol is a dental assistant for Dr. Kenny Hudson in Fayetteville and promotes the business while she has her patients attention sitting in the dental chair. Dennis’ wife Beth also grew up in Fayette County and is able to expound on the assets of “Rock Solid Granit” to the hundreds of friends that she has grown up with and knows so well. Kathy Every, Bob’s wife, has worked tirelessly from the opening both day and night to ensure success of the operation.

“The hours have been long but I am sure the product we offer is innovative and a great alternative to any other surfaces available today,” said Kathy.

Granite Transformations is perfect for many types of customers. This includes the customer that is looking to enhance a newer home that was built without the upgrades of granite counters, as well as the longer term homeowner wanting a new look to their older house.
