Peachtree City LDS youngsters collect books for burn patients

Several young women of the Peachtree City congregation, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, recently collected and delivered more than 300 children’s books to the Grady Hospital Burn Unit.

The books will be used in the waiting area and for patients to read.

Those participating included Janie Widtfeldt, Rebecca Stokes, Mandy Mendoza, Carli Downs, Dana Plauche, Tricia Plauche, Whitney Jones, Whitney Plummer, Tamara Saxon, Candy Matson, Erin Halliday, Amanda Detterbeck, Stacey Gardner, Brooke Matson, Barbara Stokes and LaNae Downs.

The girls also read several children’s stories into cassette tape for the burn unit.
