Track series starts June 1

The Peachtree City Running Club’s 2004 Summer Track Series will begin Tuesday at the Peachtree City track, adjacent to the Peachtree City Elementary School on Wisdom Road. The series, open to runners of all ages and abilities, will run Tuesday nights, June 1-29 with the championship meets July 13-14.

Events include the 50-yard dash for ages 10 and under (6:45 p.m.), the 100-meter dash (6:45 p.m., June 1, 15, and 29), 200-meter dash (6:45 p.m., June 8 and 22), 400-meter dash (7:30 p.m.), 800-meter run (6:30 p.m.), one-mile run (7 p.m.), 3,200-meter run (8 p.m., June 1, 15, and 29), 5K-run (8 p.m., June 8 and 22) and 400 (8:30 p.m., June 1, 15 and 29) and 1,600-meter relays (8:30 p.m., June 8 and 22). There are no field events. Registration begins each Tuesday at 6 p.m.
