Vendors invited to PTC’s July 4 fireworks display

Vendors will be allowed to sell food and July 4th related items at Peachtree City’s annual fireworks display this year.

The event, which is actually July 3 this year since the Fourth falls on a Sunday, is a popular attraction with people coming from all over the area, often early so they can save a good viewing spot.

The vendors will be limited to the City Hall Plaza and Picnic Park areas only. They will not be allowed to walk around and hawk their wares such as vendors do at the laser show at Stone Mountain Park.

Vendors will be charged $400 for a 12 foot by 12 foot area with a $50 refundable deposit that must accompany each application.

In the event of inclement weather, the city plans to hold the fireworks display Sunday, July 4.

Interested vendors must apply in person at the city’s recreation department Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The city’s recreation staff hopes that money from the vendors will help defray the costs for the July 4th festivities.
