Habitat chooses three directors

Three familiar faces within our community have been elected to the Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors in 2004.

Steve Mader, owner of Southtowne Motors is the newest addition, joining in April. Attorney Deborah Kalish of Kalish & Associates and PTC Merrill Lynch VP and Financial Advisor Hal Tullis joined the board late last year.

“All three respected individuals bring a wealth of talent to the present board,” said board vice president Parks Avery.

Board president Suzanne Pengelly said that Kalish has used her expertise as an attorney by providing closings for all of Habitat’s partner family mortgages over the past two years.

“Deborah’s legal guidance and services have been a huge contribution to the organization,” stated Pengelly.

“Hal Tullis has brought his firm, Merrill Lynch to participate on our build sites as volunteers” said Avery, “and Steve Mader has shown his support by making generous financial donations through Southtowne Motors. These three individuals join the ranks of the present board members who liberally give their time and talents.”

“It is truly an honor and privilege to work with each of them,” added Pengelly, “as it has to follow in the footsteps of those past board members who have given so much over the last 10 years.”
