‘Amerikids’ featured May 26 at FFUMC

The Joyful Noise Choir at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will present a patriotic program, “Amerikids: In God We Trust,” tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the church gym. The church is at 175 East Lanier Ave., (Ga. Hwy. 54 West) in Fayetteville.

Gospel sing is this Saturday

Southside Baptist Church will have a gospel singing this Saturday, May, 29, at 6 p.m., featuring the gospel group, “Homeward Bound.” Southside Baptist is at 1332 Ga. Hwy. 92 South, Fayetteville.

Singers needed for July patriotic event

Main Street Fayetteville is hosting a God and Country Night on Sunday, July 11, at the Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville. Sponsored by WVFJ, Atlanta’s J93.3, the focus of the event will be an ecumenical gathering of singers from throughout Fayette County to give praise to God and celebrate America. Yoga session offered beginning June 2

A new eight-week Yoga session will begin June 2 at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Classes are held each Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $48, but is free for high school students. For more information, contact Toni Padgett, 770-461-8032.

Introductory Prism weight loss meeting is June 5

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have an introductory meeting of the Prism Weight-Loss Program on Saturday, June 5 at 9:30 a.m. in the church gymnasium. The program offers a lifestyle intended to make it easy and exciting to lose weight. The program’s motto is, “We eat food the way God made it.” It provides guidelines for healthy eating and a support group to help participants get started and stick with it. Ascension Day prayer sessions offered

Peachtree Christian Fellowship offers a daily time of prayer which began May 20 and will continue through Saturday, May 29. All members of Peachtree Christian Fellowship are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible. Sessions begin nightly at 7 p.m.

Flat Creek presents Signature Sound Quartet

Flat Creek Baptist Church will present a special evening of music Sunday, June 6, at 6 p.m., featuring the Signature Sound Quartet, a southern gospel group. Flat Creek is on Flat Creek Trail, between Ga. Hwy. 54 and Tyrone Rd.
