Students poetry to be publishedSeven Peachtree City Elementary students are among a select few in the nation to have their poetry published in a literary magazine this summer. Second grade enrichment students A.J. Reuter, Anna Barfield, Morgan Gibbs, Jessica Roberson, Cierra Storey, Amy Kang and Kari Kinser will have their poems published in the 2004 edition of Young American Poetry Digest. The students submitted their poetry in March to a competition sponsored by the National Schools Project, an organization dedicated to encouraging young students to develop an interest in writing and enjoying poetry. The organization is also the publisher of the poetry digest. A committee of teachers reviewed the poetry submissions and selected the poems they felt were well written based on the childs age and grade. This year 200 pieces were selected for publication. The 2004 edition of Young American Poetry Digest will be out in the fall. From left; Poetry winners (L-R) Back Row: A.J.
