Psychologist wins honorsFayette County resident, E. Jeanne Pound, a school psychologist employed by the Paulding County School System in Dallas, Ga,, was recently honored as Georgias School Psychologist of the Year. The award was presented by Danny Smith, Past President of the Georgia Association of School Psychologists and Awards Committee member, at the Spring conference of the Georgia Association of School Psychologists on April 29, 2004 at Jekyll Island, Georgia. In her practice as a school psychologist, Pound emphasizes prevention, early intervention, and advocacy on behalf of children, youth, and families in Georgia. She works extensively with high-risk preschoolers, who are transitioning from the Babies Cant Wait program, and consults regularly with teachers, parents, administrators, and the Student Support Team at three elementary schools in Paulding County.
