Patriots and Panthers have several track athletes in top 8 in state

Sandy Creek placed 11th in the Class AAAA meet with 15 points. Top finishers for the Patriots were Danny Giglio, second in the pole vault (14’), and Will Judson, third in the 100-meter dash (10.920) and sixth in the 200 meter dash (22.590).

Starr’s Mill placed 34th in the Class AAAAA meet with 2.5 points. Top finishers for the Panthers were Michael Kursteiner, fifth in the high jump (6’4”); Bradley Morris, sixth in the 3,200 (9:47.820); Daniel Shankle, seventh in the 1,600 (4:32.320); and Carey Owens, seventh in the pole vault (12’).
