War Eagles third in A state meet

Landmark Christian’s boys track team placed third in the Class A state track meet. The War Eagles finished with 46 points, four points of Jefferson, the winning team’s score.

Landmark Christian had three state champion finishes and one state champion runner -up among a number of other solid finishes. Will Bonn was a state champion in the 1,600 (4:29.220) and 3,200 (9:38.180), while Adam Lewis was a state champ in the pole vault (14’). Bobby Weaver was a runner-up in the 800 with a time of 2:02.180.

Other good finishes for Landmark came from Brett Lewis, third in the 3,200 (10:27.720), Nate Williams, fifth in the 300 meter intermediate hurdles (42.540), seventh in the 110-meter high hurdles (15.850) and eighth in the discus (131’7”) , Adam Lewis, seventh in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, (42.540); and the 1,600-meter relay team of Zech Glaize, Chris Floyd, Weaver, Williams and Lewis, eighth, 3:39.990.

Our Lady of Mercy placed 16th in the meet with 15 points. Top finsihers for the Bobcats were Zach Lethbridge, third in the 800 (2:02.300) and third in the 1,600 (4:44.090); the 1,600-meter relay team of Brandon Prince, Matt Fraas, Ryan Schilling, Albert Jumper and Lethbridge, fifth (3:34.250); Pat Super, sixth in the pole vault (11’6”),
