Mom’s Day Out now registering

The Mom’s Day Out program at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is now registering for fall 2004. Children ages one year to three years are eligible. Classes will begin Aug. 31 and will meet from 9:15 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Tuition is $40 per month for one day a week or $80 per month for two days a week. Prince of Peace offers cancer support group

A cancer support group has begun meeting at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of eachmonth. The group is for those with cancer or relatives of those with cancer. Inman plans Vacation Bible School

Inman United Methodist Church will have Vacation Bible School Monday through Friday, June 14-18, from 9 a.m. until noon. Children from kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to attend. The theme will be Bible Heroes. For more information, call 770-719-8501.

Antioch Methodist in Fairburn plans BBQ May 22

Antioch United Methodist Church in Fairburn will have a barbecue, bake sale, and yard sale Saturday, May 22 at the church on Rivertown Road. The barbecue will be from noon until 2 p.m. with adult plates for $6.50 and children’s plates for $4.50. Tea and dessert are included. The event also will feature live gospel music. Prince of Peace plans VBS June 21-25

Registration has begun for Vacation Bible School at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, which will be June 21-25 from 9 a.m. until noon. Celebration Sunday will be during the 9:30 a.m. service on Sunday, June 27. Visit www.popdove.com for more information and to register for Construction Inc.* (*In the Name of Christ). Kids will enjoy a week of fun, music, crafts, games, snacks, drama, and more. VBS at Prince of Peace is open to students who have completed kindergarten through eighth grade and preschoolers who have attended Sunday school at Prince of Peace. PTC UMC plans chili dinner, auction

A Silent Auction and Chili Dinner are planned for Saturday, May 22, from 5 Ð 8 p.m. at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church, 400 Windgate Road. A chili dinner is $5 and a hot dog dinner is $2. A partial list of auction items includes: a 3-day cruise from Jacksonville, Fla.; a 5’ X 9’ trailer; Fox Theatre tickets; and exterior home cleaning. All proceeds will benefit the girls and boys scout ministries at PTC UMC.
