Realty group helps school

Seaborn Lee Elementary School in South Fulton County received a significant contribution recently for the school’s Nature Trail Revitalization Progress.

Appearing during a meeting of the school’s PTA, Mary Wineland, managing broker of Knight Realty, the in-house marketing company for The Knight Group, presented a $2,000 check to the school for the nature trail, which is located behind the school building.

The Knight Group also provided a catered meal for the event with food by Mary Stroud of “Ask Mary.”

In presenting the check to Emily Massey, the school’s principal, Wineland noted that preserving greenspace is championed by Fulton County Commissioner Bill Edwards, who represents the area.

The nature trail, which has been the recipient of a number of awards, dates from the late 1980s, but hasn’t been maintained in recent years. The school hopes that with the help of the community the trail will regain its earlier status and popularity.

She also pointed out that The Knight Group is partnering with Seaborn Lee Elementary this year and next year while the company is developing and building homes in Creekside, a community of 180 homes priced from the $120,000s which is located at the Scarborough Road-Mason Road intersection a short distance from the school.

The Knight Group, based in Jonesboro, is currently one of the most active home builders in the Metro South area of Atlanta, building in Clayton, Henry, South Fulton and DeKalb counties.
