The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is one of the largest funders of the metro area’s nonprofit organizations. It manages and administers the philanthropic funds of 650 individuals and families by matching their interests with community needs.

One of its initiatives is conducting an orientation session for The Neighborhood Fund which provides opportunities to low and moderate income areas. The workshop provides an opportunity for neighborhood associations in low to moderate income areas and individuals with an interest in community leadership to learn more about how they may get grants for neighborhood improvements and for leadership training.

A session is scheduled for Saturday, June 12, at the Peachtree City Public Library. It will begin at 10 a.m.

The workshops are free, however registration is required. Those interested can register by going to The Community Foundation’s Web site at www.atlcf.org.

The Community Foundation for Fayette County can be reached at 770-487-7796 or tcffayette@habersham.com.
