Media camp offered to teens this summerTeens have less than two weeks left to register for an exciting new television skills summer program to be offered by Fulton County Department of Parks and Recreation and Clark-Atlanta University. Camp MOVE (Media Opportunities Visual Experiences) offers a 6-week session for tenth and twelfth grade students interested in learning the basics of television production. Participants will also interact with experts in the TV production industry. The registration deadline is May 17. The sessions will be held at the Clark-Atlanta campus. Camp MOVE begins Tuesday, June 1. Students from Fulton County and Atlanta Public schools are eligible to apply. Applicants must submit letters of recommendation, a school transcript and a 500-word essay on why they want to participate in Camp MOVE and how the program will benefit them. Thirty students will be selected for the program, which will consist of three one-hour, hands-on sessions. Participants will also take field trips and speak with experts in the television industry. |
