Watch mailbox for corrected notices The Fulton County Board of Assessors will send out corrected assessment notices on Friday, April 30, 2004, to residential and commercial property owners. About half of the original 265,000 notices mailed April 23 are being re-sent due to printing errors. Because of the corrections, the date for property values to be posted on the Tax Assessors' web site at www.fultonassessor.orgÊhas been rescheduled for Monday, May 3. The county has 235,000 residential and 30,000 commercial properties. Most of the total notices sent out will have an increase in value. Property owners who have no change in value will receive a letter. The Board of Assessors establishes the value of all residential and commercial properties in the county. In Georgia, property taxes are based on 40 percent of the property’s fair market value, less all applicable exemptions. For more information, call 404-730-6434.
