Chorale show is SaturdayNationally renowned soprano Arietha Lockhart will join the Southern Crescent Chorale for the season finale in An Evening of Gershwin and Berlin, May 8 at 8 p.m. Arietha was a featured performer at the 1996 Olympic Games opening ceremony, and has graced audiences from Austria to Italy with her exquisite voice. The Chorale will perform popular pieces by two of the most well-known composers in American history, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin. Songs to include: I Got Rhythm, Puttin on the Ritz, and God Bless America, The Chorale will also be accompanied by local favorite, the Don McSwain Jazz Band. The audience is encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the new Villages Amphitheatre in Fayetteville. Tickets: $15 for adults; $12 for seniors and students.
