Eating disorders group meets Wednesdays Eating Disorders Anonymous, a faith based 12- step program for people with eating disorders, meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Room 303 at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church, Robinson Road Campus, 225 Robinson Road. Each meeting consists of a devotional and a period of discussion and sharing. The group is open to high school aged students through adults. Grace Church to host Prayer Breakfast Grace Church will again host the Prayer Breakfast for elected officials of Fayette County on the National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 6, from 8 - 9:15 a.m. Members of the community are invited to participate. Harps Crossing women plan fellowship gathering The Womens Enrichment Ministry at Harps Crossing Baptist Church will host a fellowship gathering Tuesday, May 11, from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Cox, Moore join staff at Fayetteville Methodist The Staff-Parish committee at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church recently selected Laura Cox as the new program director and Andy Moore as the new youth director. Cox has served in several large churches in North Carolina and Alabama in the areas of Christian education, children, youth and programs. Moore was youth director at Byron UMC for the past nine years and worked in the areas of children, community ministry and recreation. Fayetteville Christian Health Fair is May 15 Fayetteville Christian Church will host a Family Health Fair Saturday, May 15, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event is for family members of all ages. Among the featured activities will be child fingerprint I.D. kits, information from the Fayette County Health Dept. and Fayette County firefighters, blood pressure tests, blood sugar tests, hearing tests, chiropractic evaluations and many other health related activities. Introductory Prism weight loss meeting is June 5 Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have an introductory meeting of the Prism Weight-Loss Program on Saturday, June 5 at 9:30 a.m. in the church gymnasium. The program offers a lifestyle intended to make it easy and exciting to lose weight. The programs motto is, We eat food the way God made it. It provides guidelines for healthy eating and a support group to help participants get started and stick with it. Theres no obligation to join. Senior adults at FCC plan Chattanooga trip The Senior Adult Ministry (SAMS) at Fayetteville Christian Church is planning an overnight trip to Chattanooga June 14 and 15. The cost is $137 per person, based on double occupancy. The group includes those members and their spouses who are 52 years of age or older. Harvest Rain plans summer camp Summer Camp at Harvest Rain Church International in Fairburn will will be from June 1 - Aug. 2, from 6:30 a.m. -6 p.m. The cost is $80 per week for children ages 5-12 years.
