ObituariesTaylor Chastain Taylor Chastain, 82, Peachtree City, died April 19, 2003. He was the son of Balus Stevenson and Mary Ada Bray Chastain. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Nichols Chastain, and a son, Steve Taylor. He was a veteran of World War II, and a graduated of the University of Georgia. His professional life was in the tire business. In retirement, he enjoyed watching sports, playing golf and traveling. Services were at the Pines at Floral Hills Memory Gardens chapel with the Rev. Raymond Carr officiating. Interment was with military honors. Survivors include a son, David and Peggy Chastain; daughters, Deborah and David Johnson, and Sandra and Lee Muse; grandchildren, Julie Johnson, Brent Johnson, Jenna Johnson, Julie Muse, and Jeff Muse; a brother, Frank Chastain; and a sister, Hannah Brosche. B. Craven, 82, Lithia Springs, died April 21, 2004. He was born March 3, 1922 in Haralson County, son of the late William Bona and Annie Mank Cosby Craven. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. He was a veteran of World War II and a general contractor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lithia Springs. Services were at Hightowers Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Interment was at Rosehaven Cemetery, Douglasville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Walker, and a daughter, Dona Grant. He was a 60-year member of the South Miami Masonic Lodge. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army in World War II and the Korean War. Private family services will be held at a later date. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge. Paul Robinson Lewis Paul Robinson Lewis, 91, Statesboro, died April 25, 2004. He was born in Brooklet, Ga. In 1912 and was a 1929 graduate of Statesboro High School. He was graduated from Newberry College in 1933. He was preceded in death in 2002 by his wife, Vivian Wollum, Porter, Minn. They had married Sept. 26, 1944. He served in World War II and received a commission at Lt. Commander in the United States Naval Reserve, serving as an instructor in Aerial and Celestial Navigation in the Naval Air Primary Training Command. He taught school in South Georgia and in the Fulton County School system. He had been a member of the East Point Rotary Club since 1957 and an active member of Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church, Riverdale. Graveside services were at Brooklet City Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Survivors include sons, James and Kellie Lewis, Macon, Robert and Becky Lewis, Fayetteville, and Allen and Ellen Lewis, Medina, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
