Bethany’s annual yard sale is Friday, Saturday

Bethany United Methodist Church will have its annual UMW yard sale Friday and Saturday, April 30 and May 1. Friday’s hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday’s hours will be 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. The church is on Rivers Road in north Fayette County. Southside Baptist’s yard sale is this Saturday

Southside Baptist Church will have a yard sale this Saturday, May 1, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the church on Ga. Hwy. 92 South. Proceeds will go to the church building fund.

Open Word Christian Ministries plans revival

Open Word Christian Ministries in Fairburn will host The Power of Unity Revival Wednesday, May 5, through Friday, May 7, with services beginning at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Guest speakers will be Pastor Freddie Anderson, Pastor Jessie Curney and Open Word’s own pastor, Gary Taylor Sr. Open Word is at 6230 Ga. Hwy. 92, west of Fairburn. Liberty Baptist to honor senior adults

Liberty Baptist Church invites the community to a special worship service Sunday, May. 2, at 10:45 a.m., to honor the accomplishments of senior adults in the community. Guest speaker will be Dr. Randy Wood, senior pastor. The event will include special music, exhibits fromthe past and testimonies. Law enforcement recognition event planned

Members of Fayetteville First Baptist Church will host a banquet Sunday, May 2, to honor members of the Fayetteville Police Department and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department for their service to the community. Dinner will begin at 5 p.m., with a program to follow.

Flat Creek plans homecoming Sunday

Members of Flat Creek Baptist Church will have their annual Homecoming Sunday, May 2, following the 11 a.m. service. Those attending are asked to bring vegetables, desserts and a gallon of tea. The church will provide the meat. Flat Creek is at 161 Flat Creek Trail, off Ga. Hwy. 54, about halfway between Fayetteville and Peachtree City.

Grace Church to host Prayer Breakfast

Grace Evangelical Church will again host the Prayer Breakfast for elected officials of Fayette County on the National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 6, from 8 - 9:15 a.m. Members of the community are invited to participate.
