Fraud suspect arrested in TyroneA Columbus man was arrested late Friday night by a Tyrone police officer who pulled over his vehicle and found there were active warrants for his arrest. Michael Eugene Owens, 56, of 1238 10th St., Columbus was pulled over for a traffic violation on Ga. Highway 74 north near Sandy Creek Road, according to a police report. Owens was arrested on outstanding warrants for fraud, police said. Owens was later released from the Fayette County Jail after problems arose with his extradition to Columbus. |
