County loses zoning activistNancy Charnock, one of the people who has made Fayette County such a wonderful place to live, passed away Saturday morning at her home on Old Norton Road in Fayette County. Nancy has been active for decades protecting Fayette County. Nancy could always be counted on seeing the real picture on what each new rezoning or change the local government was passing. Nancy could see what effect these changes would have on the future of Fayette County. Nancy could always be counted on for getting the correct and accurate facts even if our local governments were unwilling to provide them. For someone new to Fayette County, you will never understand that we have lost a real heroine. It was through her efforts that the Fayette County we live in today is a much better place because of her very hard work. Nancy Charnock has made our county and lives much fuller. It is a shame that Nancy will miss what she has worked so hard to fulfill. It is a shame that we will all miss Nancy Charnock. Bob and Alycia Craft Fayetteville, Ga. |
