Employees at three businesses in Peachtree City sold alcohol to underage police officers in a sting Thursday administered by the city’s police department and the Georgia Department of Revenue.

The illegal sales were made at the Texaco convenience store at Ga. Highway 74 North and Wisdom Road, the Pit Stop on Ga. Highway 54 East and Petrol Point and at Kedron Wine and Liquor in the Kedron Shopping Center, police said. Each of those businesses was given administrative citations by the Georgia Department of Revenue, police said.

The city’s other 50 establishments which sell alcohol were also monitored in the sting, police said. All of the 53 businesses were surveyed in one day during the operation, said Police Chief James Murray.

“We did it all in one day,” Murray said.

The two undercover officers who were involved in the sting are employed by the Georgia Department of Revenue, Murray said.

The city had received several complaints about underage alcohol sales at several businesses before the sting was conducted, Murray said.

The three individuals arrested for furnishing alcohol to a minor were Kimberly McElroy, 30, of Newnan; Patel Narendrakumar, 50, of Peachtree City and Hal Fulks, 32, of Peachtree City.
