Golf camps set for summerThe Junior Golf Camps at the Wendell Coffee Golf Center are designed to teach children the basics of golf and how fun the sport can be (the set up, the swing, the pitch and chip shots, the sand shots, the putting stroke and how to hit the woods). Each junior will receive different instruction according to his or her level of play. The camps are open to ages 6-15 and will run every week from June 1-Aug. 9. All camps run Monday-Thursday except the camp June 1-4, which runs Tuesday-Friday. The cost is $175 a week with a $25 discount on the second child (family) or each additional camp. The daily schedule starts with a warm up from 8:30-9 a.m. and followed by a swing lesson from 9-10 a.m., short game from 10-11 a.m., putting 11-11:30 a.m., lunch and golf video from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and then a nine hole golf game on the Par 3 course from 12;30-2:30 p.m. Phone 770-969-4469 or stop by the Wendell Coffee Golf Center, 1963 Ga.
