One of Senoia’s favorite photographer’s works are now on view in Buckhead.

Gary Gruby has spent years honing his photography art and Atlanta residents now have an opportunity to see his exhibit, “Portraits.”

The exhibit combines black and white portraits of flowers and people as seen through Gruby’s gifted eye.

In addition to a fascinating collection of local Senoia residents, the exhibit also features some of Gruby’s photos of flowers, including the rare bloom of a night blooming cirrus.

The Senoia resident studied under two master craftsmen of black-and-white photography and has an exhibit on display at the Senoia Historical Society House. His photos of some of Senoia’s residents helped capture the feeling and quirkiness of the town.

Selections from his flower series recently won several awards, including first place and Best of Show at the recent Southeastern Flower Show.

Gruby works from studios in Atlanta and Senoia.

His works are now on display at the Ida Williams branch of the Atlanta Fulton Library at 269 Buckhead Avenue in Atlanta.
