FUMC ladies offer used books for sale

The Grace Circle at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will sell used books during the Wednesday night suppers on April 14 and 21. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Fayette Youth Protection Home. For more information, call the church office, 770-461-4313.

Flat Creek announces Bible drill winners

Winners of the recent Bible drill competition at Flat Creek Baptist Church include Emily Davis, Molly Jones, Anthony Greenlee, Alli Mitchell, Matt Goss, Jake Hancock, Kristen Harris and Linda Wilkins. The youngsters will represent Flat Creek at the Associational Drill at McDonough Road Baptist Church this Thursday.

Mission Store seeks volunteers

The Mission Store Vintage and Thrift Shop is now accepting applications for volunteers to help sort, clean and mend clothes, restock racks and do miscellaneous other jobs. The store is a non profit organization, operated solely to raise money to help support long-term missionaries, sponsor individuals going on short-term mission trips, and help support local faith based organizations. CDM to celebrate new facility

Pastor Chris Bowen of Living Faith Tabernacle will be the guest speaker this Sunday at Christ Discipleship Ministries as members celebrate their new facility in Fairburn. FUMC’s youth praise service begins Sunday

Aglow meeting set for April 19

Sarah Roberts, an internationally known representative for Women of Faith conferences, will speak at the April meeting of Peachtree City Aglow, Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m., at Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Peachtree City. The church is on Robinson Road, one-quarter mile south of Ga. Highway 54, across from Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Free nursery will be provided. Men are welcome. ‘Healing Explosion’ set for next Tuesday

The Rev. Velda Schirhart, director of The Healing Center Whole Life Ministries in Augusta, will be the guest speaker at a “dynamic” healing explosion, Tuesday, April 20 at 7 p.m. at Word of Life Christian Outreach Center, 160 Bastille Way, Fayetteville, next door to Lighthouse Chiropractic.
