AmerEstate joins Georgia MLSThe Peachtree City real estate market has become increasingly active as more and more people express interest in the benefits of a planned community. At the same time, Peachtree City has almost reached its build out capacity, which means less new construction is available to those potential buyers. To better serve the local market of sellers and the influx of families and retirees who want to purchase in the area, local real estate agent and appraiser Barry Keever has joined Georgias largest multiple listing service, GAMLS. His goal is to ensure that his AmerEstate agency can better reach current residents in South Metro Atlanta who are being drawn to the area. Peachtree City is no longer just an airline community, stated Keever, who has been working in the area for over three years. Now we are capturing the attention of buyers from traffic-laden Atlanta and the cold Northeast who want access to a great school system, a golf course, traffic that is restricted to golf paths and great weather. Because there is little new construction, current home values are on the increase and positioning these sellers and buyers becomes all the more important. By making this property available to both Georgia realtors and directly to the public, GAMLS opens the areas buying opportunities to 23,000 agents and their clients. The result is a win-win opportunity for everyone. Many realtors like Keever are realizing membership in a statewide multiple listing service translates into increased exposure, databases of information, access to on-line Georgia Association of Realtors contract forms and other labor and dollar savings tools. Having these resources at their fingertips enable them to better serve the buying and selling public. Keever also points to effective Internet visibility as essential in today's real estate industry. My clients are more computer savvy and have, with rare exception, done a lot of research on their own, he said. That means we must maintain as broad of Internet awareness as possible. GAMLS and its open-to-the-public web site www.gamlshomes.com will make a substantial contribution to that awareness. The public can more easily access real estate information today than ever before, agreed Richard Boone, CEO of Georgia MLS. This makes them more knowledgeable and better able to pinpoint what they want. Therefore, the real estate professional must be able to access that information as well as other pertinent listings and details quickly and thoroughly in response. That's where GAMLS comes in. We provide the local listings as well as those statewide stretching from the North Georgia mountains to the Georgia coast. Georgia MLS is a Board affiliated multiple listing service organization comprised of 1,455 member offices and 23,000 residential real estate professionals and appraisers. The organizations database lists 55,000 residential homes in 149 out of 159 Georgia counties as well as surrounding states. AmerEstate, Inc., is on 321 Newfield Way in Peachtree City. |
