Fontainbleu on the way to RockdalePlans have been announced for Fontainbleau, a new 115-home upscale community along the South River in the southern part of Rockdale County. Located near the Newton County line, Fontainbleau will be accessible from Hwy. 20 by way of Bailey Creek Road and from Hwy. 212 by way of Bailey Road and Deer Run Drive. The community, which is being developed by Alton Housworth Jr. of Prime Home Properties LLC, will have homes priced from the mid $300,000s. Forty-three of the large homesites will back up to the South River. The builder team is composed of R&R Custom Homes Inc., P. B. Lindsey Builders Inc., S&D Inc., Macy Homes Inc., Dean Construction Co. Inc., Bill Lynn Inc., Paul W. Ellis Builders, and Signature Homes. Construction of the first homes is expected to get underway this month. Fontainbleau will have protective covenants, architectural guidelines, and a homeowners association.
