Wieland names Ulsaker VP of production operations

Jon Ulsaker has been named vice president of production operations for John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods in a move that positions the company to bring compelling homes more quickly to market.

Wieland is currently building in 60 neighborhoods across the southeast including Atlanta; Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Charleston, S.C. Founded by John Wieland in 1970, Atlanta-based John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods marked the end of its record-breaking fiscal year in September with gross revenues of $605 million and 1608 homes closed in 2003. Ulsaker assumes responsibility for Production, Estimating, Purchasing and Pricing and new home starts in his new position.

A ten-year Wieland veteran, he joined the company as an associate builder in Atlanta’s South Region and steadily progressed, eventually becoming corporate production manager and then director of production systems. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he saw active military duty with the 24th Army Infantry Division in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm during the first Gulf War. He and his family reside in Peachtree City.
