Wieland names Daker VP of homeowner operations

John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods has named Rich Daker vice president of homeowner operations including JW Designs, Customer Relations and Quality Assurance in a move that positions the company to deliver compelling customer service.

Wieland is currently building in 60 neighborhoods across the southeast including Atlanta; Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Charleston, S.C. Founded by John Wieland in 1970, Atlanta-based John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods marked the end of its record-breaking fiscal year in September with gross revenues of $605 million and 1608 homes closed in 2003.

Daker is a graduate of the University of Illinois holding a master’s in architecture as well as a master’s in finance. With an extensive background in architecture and building research, Daker joined Wieland in 1993 as an Operations Coordinator in Design and then transitioned into the role of Director of Risk and Facilities Management, the area in which he would continue to work for the next ten years.

In his new position, Daker will be responsible for Wieland’s Design Team at the company’s New Home Design Center in Vinings as well as the Quality Assurance and Warranty Operations.
