Peachtree City First Baptist’s ‘A.W.O.L.’ retreat planned for May

First Baptist Church Peachtree City is sponsoring “Let’s Go A.W.O.L*” (*Away With Our Lord), as an introduction to silent retreats, Monday and Tuesday, May 17-18.

The 28- hour retreat, with 24 hours of silence, introduces the silent retreat experience at an Atlanta retreat center, “that feels like a North Georgia mountain setting, complete with trails and a waterfall, on a bluff overlooking the Chattahoochee River.” according to a spokesperson.

Ignatius House Retreat Center is two miles north of I-285, on Riverside Drive.

The retreat, which begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday, and ends at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, costs $85 for a private room with bath, and includes all meals and snacks.A $30 deposit is required to hold a space.
