ObituariesMary Miles Watson Mary Miles Watson, 84, Peachtree City, died March 11, 2004. She was a longtime resident of San Francisco and Monterey, Calif. She moved to Georgia in 1993. She was born in Del Rio, Texas, in 1919, the daughter of the Hugh Miles. She was a member of the first graduating class from Georgia Washington High School in 1938, San Francisco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. Chang Watson, in 1958, a son, Charles C. Watson, brothers Horace T. Lefty Miles and David E. Bud Miles, and a sister, Dorothy Miles Gehre. While working for the 3M Company, she was a part of 20 Bing Crosby National Pro-Am tournaments at Pebble Beach. She was a gifted seamstress.She was cremated and a memorial service will be held in Monterey sometime in April.Survivors include a son, Miles K. Watson, San Francisco; a daughter, Sharon W. and Colonel David J. Phillips, retired, Peachtree City; and a sister, Barbara J. Karr, Peachtree City; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Lillian Whiting Eubanks Lillian Whiting Eubanks, Fayetteville, died March 27, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Eubanks. Services were at the First Baptist Church of Morrow with interment at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Scurry, Islamorada, Fla., and Jonesboro, Ga.; grandsons, Jeff and Cindy Scurry, and Kenneth and Shelly Scurry, all of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Louelle Harris, Marietta. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. Annie McWhorter Wisener Annie McWhorter Wisener, 82, Fayetteville, died March 29, 2004. She was born June 23, 1921 in Rome, Ga. Graveside services were at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Atlanta, with Pastor Dale Taylor officiating. Survivors include daughters, Glenda and William V. Maddox, Fayetteville, Geraldine Diane and James T. Smith, Riverdale; grandchildren, Cynthia M. Maddox, Fayetteville, and David L. Millirons, Fairburn; great-grandchildren, Tristan Pruett, and Summer Millirons; a special friend, Shirley Warren; and relatives in Memphis. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. Lenny S. Riney Lenny S. Riney, 47, Fayetteville, died March 30, 2004. She was born Sept. 24, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was an employee for Delta Airlines for 26 years, beginning as a reservation sales agent in Cincinnati, Los Angeles and Atlanta. She was a flight attendant for Delta for 13 years. Services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Tim Hepburn officiating. The body was cremated. Survivors include her husband, Greg Riney, Fayetteville; daughters, Ashley Riney, and Lauren Riney, both of Fayetteville; a brother, Steve Knabb, Cincinnati, Ohio; father and mother-in-law, Kelly and Hughleen Riney, Louisville, Ky.; brothers-in-law, Jeff Riney, Owensboro, Ky., Barry Riney, Lexington, Ky., and David Riney, Louisville,Ky.; and sisters-in-law, Mary Kelly Siles, Donna Warder, and Anna Weber, all of Louisville, Ky., and Sharon Marcum, Fayetteville, Ga. Paula Elise Check Paula Elise Cheek, 53, Senoia, Fayette County, died April 2, 2004. She was born Aug. 17, 1950 in Sylacauga, Ala. She spent 15 years as a kindergarten teacher at Kirkpatrick Elementary School, Clayton County, where she was named teacher of the year for 1994. She also worked for three years as a second grade teacher at Peeples Elementary School, Fayetteville. A mass was held at Saint George Catholic Church, Newnan. Survivors include her husband, George Cheek, Senoia; daughters, Laura Lovell, Jonesboro, Melanie Cain, Orlando, Fla., Suzanne Schultz, Newnan, and Mary Catherine Bizieff, Apex, N.C.; grandchildren, Charlie and Richard Lovell, Elise Schultz, and Patrick and Samuel Bizieff; parents, Paul and Elise Keel, LaGrange, Ga.; a brother, George Baine Keel, LaGrange; and a sister, Barbara Lipe, Douglasville.
