Halo tournament brings local youth together

The Peachtree City Youth Council and X Playground in Peachtree City recently held a Halo tournament, which brought over 50 individuals and 24 teams to the relatively new business. Five big-screen plasma TVs played the popular video game from 1-9 p.m. as players fired their rocket launchers, sniper rifles, plasma grenades and more. Halo is a multi-dimensional game that can allow up to 16 players on four separate television sets through the use of an online phone connection.

Through the fierce, multi-round competitions, Seth “Jester” Hickey and Tyler “Big T” Molleson emerged as team victors and also took first and second place in the free-for-all competition. The team known as Tyrone Killers, consisting of Blake and Tyler Wright, finished as runners-up in the team competition.

The event was a huge success and was the largest Halo tournament that X Playground has hosted so far. For more information on X Playground, visit www.xplayground.biz.
