Suspect in Coweta heist nabbed after PTC officer recognizes him A suspect in the armed robbery of a convenience store just across the Fayette-Coweta County line was caught Friday after a Peachtree City police officer noticed something familiar about the suspects physical description. It turns out that Miguel Sanchez, 34, of Peachtree City was a neighbor of Cpl. Jay Hughes, police said. After Hughes notified Coweta deputies of his recollection, he reviewed a videotape of the armed robbery at the Hot Spot, confirming that it was Sanchez on the tape, according to reports. Sanchez was later placed under arrest, and a search warrant executed on his residence turned up numerous items linking him to the robbery, police said. The Hot Spot is a convenience store located near the intersection of Ga. highways 54 and 34.
