ABC Pediatrics welcomes new staffers

Nurse practitioners Jenny Guerrero, FNP-C, and Sharon Bryan-Grant, CPNP, have joined the provider staff at ABC Pediatrics.

“They are both caring and knowledgeable, and are well liked by children and parents,” according to a spokesperson for the firm. “They have considerable experience caring for children and families, and work together with the doctors to provide both well child and sick care to children of all ages.”

Patients can request either of them when they call the office to schedule a physical or a sick appointment.

Guerrero was born in Connecticut, where she lived with her Filipino-American family until she was 15 and her family moved to Georgia. She has lived in Georgia since, graduating with a B.S. degree in biology from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. She then attained her BSN from the Medical College of Georgia in 1997. After working in the hospital with adults and children for several years, she enrolled into the Family Nurse Practitioner program at MCG and graduated with her master’s degree in May 2002. She then joined ABC Pediatrics in August 2002.

Her special interests include caring for teenage girls and Hispanic families (although not fluent in Spanish yet, she is working on it). She is active in her church and Bible study and enjoys domestic and international missions trips.

Bryan-Grant was born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies. She immigrated to the United States in her late teens and lived in New York for fourteen years, where she obtained her RN licensure in 1991. She earned her BSN degree from Medgar Evans College in 1996, then went on to obtain her master’s degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner in 2001 at Hunter College in New York City.

She relocated to Georgia in 2002 and joined ABC Pediatrics in March 2003. She and her husband, Peter, have two sons and live in McDonough.

She enjoys reading and working with the children in her church. She likes meeting new people and building relationships. She also loves travel and her dream is to see all 50 states; she is up to 20 so far.
