Dental Design of Kedron celebrates grand opening

Dental Design of Kedron celebrated its grand opening March 16 and provides options for patients who are looking for an enjoyable, entertaining trip to the dentist.

Dental Design of Kedron offers several amenities to patients, including a complimentary juice bar with fresh fruit, full-body massage units on the treatment chairs, flat screen televisions with DVD players to watch while being treated, and iPods for your music listening pleasure.

“The office has been designed with our patients’ comfort in mind from its inception,” said Dr. David Boag, echoing the new direction the dental profession is moving in. “We are all about changing the perceptions of the dental experience. We hope to make dental visits tolerable, or even enjoyable for our patients, by using technology, atmosphere, and our personalities. We’d like it to be fun.”

In addition to the aesthetic changes, Dr. Boag believes that developments in technology are going to become increasingly more visible in the field, and Dental Design of Kedron is one of the dental offices leading the way.

“We have no paper charts,” Dr. Boag said. “Everything is digital, from tooth charting to radiographs to photographs. Although a challenging system to learn, it is the future of dental documentation.”

At Dental Design, technology is also being used to get patients actively involved in the dental exam. In addition to the routine elements of each exam, digital photographs are taken of every patient’s teeth.

“Taking the photographs allows us to better educate out patients about where they stand regarding their dental health by showing, rather than simply telling,” Dr. Boag explained.

Dental Design of Kedron offers patients a change from the normal, boring trip to the dentist. What was once considered by children and many adults to be a scary experience has become educational, interactive, and dare we say, even enjoyable.

Dental Design of Kedron is at 403 Ga. Highway 74 North in Peachtree City. Call 770-631-8200 for more information.
